  • Forever my vivacious, witty, thoughtful Auntie...I miss you so much!

    Arden,
  • Nancy was such a gem, always could think on her feet. In clinic in 3rd year she had a real little devil of a 10 yr old patient and I remember the first day she had to actually treat the little guy and we were all watching to see how she did (and thrilled that it was not us treating him). Little bugger would not open his mouth for the freezing/needle muttering not nice things about how she was NEVER gonna get that thing in his mouth. Nancy, cool as a cucumber gently suggested that "Gee, Bobby this is going to hurt a whole lot more if I have to put it through the side of your cheek" and unbelievably the little guy surrendered and let her freeze him normally. That was Nancy and I was in awe of how she pulled it off.

  • To a caring and giving person so rarely found. We all love you. Mel PS. I am not sure if the photos and video I uploaded are visible. Please contact me if not.

  • As were most people in my dental class, I was in awe of Nancy. She seemed to breeze through everything. I had the additional fun of being her housemate in 4th year (she and Ingrid rented the house that everyone wanted to get in to). Through all those experiences, I came to know Nancy as one of the kindest, smartest and most interesting people I've ever met. I feel very saddened by her passing. Dentistry has lost a true gem. She will be missed.

  • I met Nancy 4 years ago and was in awe of her immediately. Her beauty, as you know, shone inside and out. Her dedication to her teaching and her friends & colleagues at UBC was outstanding. Always there for a smile, laugh and any help…she will be missed so very much. I was privileged to not only work with her, but to find out a little about her private life…a beautiful teen daughter, loving handsome husband and a need for speed through running. My heart goes out to her family and best friends.

  • I knew Nancy through her devotion to the Mastery Choir of Vancouver, where her unfailingly cheerful disposition remains forever one of my fondest memories of my time there. "Sing me to heaven".

  • We had been friends for many years and we think about Nancy all the time. This is one of my favorite pictures of her and her daughter Gemma!
