She was appointed Clinical Assistant Professor in 2010 and also served as Clinical Advisor, Faculty Advisor, and Lecturer in Operative Dentistry.

Dr. Scott was an outstanding clinical educator. She received teaching awards in 2006 and 2014, and in 2013 she earned a Certificate on Teaching and Learning in Higher Education. She was a founding member of the British Columbia Dental Association’s women’s association established from 1982 to 1996 and since 2011 was a committee member of the BCDA’s Women in Dentistry Mentorship Program. She also worked the College of Dental Surgeons of BC to help practising clinicians improve their skills.
